Yvonne Hilsabeck

Yvonne Hilsabeck, age 100, of Barnard, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 19th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 23rd, 1924 in Dexter, Iowa to the late Farrel D. Lemon and Cecil Lemon.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters Marilyn Coulter of Maryville, MO and Vicki Walker of Parnell, MO, her older sister Nelda Lee of Williamson, IA, 17 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Umbenhower, This marriage resulted in their three children. Second husband Dean Heckman, and third husband Courtney Hilsabeck, as well as her son Art Umbenhower, two sisters, Norma Potteroff and Jerri Dexter, her brother Jimmy Lemon, son-in-laws Jimmy Coulter and Bill Walker, granddaughter Tricia Coulter, and grandson Troy Walker.

Yvonne worked as an accountant throughout her working years. She had a love for music and dance. She played the guitar and was a member of the church choir in her younger years. Music was a big part of her life and she passed her love of music to the next couple of generations. Yvonne was always ready for a shopping trip and a stop at the Dairy Queen. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

There will be a one hour visitation for friends and family prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at Laura Street Baptist Church at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 23, 2024. Burial will be at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville MO. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bram Funeral Home.
