William C. Kelley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on May 14th, 1948, in Maryville, Missouri to Burman and Betty Kelley.
Bill was a dedicated and hardworking individual, spending 25 years in the airline industry with Ozark, TWA, and American Airlines. His career was marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for connecting with people. In addition to his work in the airline industry, Bill also ventured into real estate and insurance sales and contributed his time and skills at the Treatment Center in Maryville, MO.
A proud veteran, Bill served in the Army's 8th Infantry, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. His love for sports was evident throughout his life. He was a high school football and track athlete and later coached soccer and little league, always encouraging young athletes to believe in themselves and stay active. An avid runner, Bill participated in The Torch Run every year and worked at the Rec Center at the prison, where he continued to inspire others with his positive spirit.
Bill was a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health, which he used to foster a love of sports and physical activity in those around him. He was a people person, known for his infectious smile and his belief that love was the most important thing in life. He traveled far and wide to support his grandchildren in their sporting events, always their biggest fan.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Rosalea Kelley, of the home; his son, Timothy Kelley, and wife Meredith of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Cindy Martin, and husband Rollie of Hopkins, MO; his sister, Cheryl Estabrook; and his cherished grandchildren, Owen, Garrett, Reed, Lana, R.T., and Ezra. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burman Leo Kelley and Betty Jean Kelley; his parents-in-law, Paul and Marie Owens; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Wanda Owens; his sister-in-law, Emma Mae Pruitt; and his brother-in-law, Marvin Estabrook.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Community Building in Hopkins, MO, on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are provided by Bram Funeral Home. Per his wishes, he was cremated and will be buried at White Oak Cemetery in Pickering, MO.
Bill's legacy of love, kindness, and encouragement will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and the community he served so well.
