Trevor Joseph Burns, 37, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Trevor was a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, but his journey began in Maryville, Missouri, where he was born on June 3, 1988.

Trevor was a dedicated meat cutter, a profession he excelled in for 21 years at HyVee starting in Maryville then transferring to Lincoln. His commitment to his craft was admired by colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his professional life, Trevor had a passion for reptiles, a love that began in his childhood and continued throughout his life. He was an avid hiker who was often found exploring the majestic Rockies and had the distinction of climbing Mt. Elbert. Trevor also had a talent for sculpting, creating pieces that reflected his artistic spirit. One of his unique interests was exploring old cemeteries, where he found peace and inspiration in reading headstones.

Trevor is survived by his loving family: father, Joe (Robin) Burns, Pickering, MO; mother, DaLene (Dan) Brown, Grant City, MO; his cherished daughter, Audrey Kay Burns, Lincoln, NE; brother, Trey Burns, and sister, Tiffany Burns, both, Maryville, MO. He is also survived by his grandparents, Winnie Burns, Maryville, MO, and Dale Hersh, Ravenwood, MO. Trevor leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles, including Steve (Janie) Burns, Jennifer (Kirby) Tunell, Gwenna (Tom) Zacchini, Stephanie Burns (Mark Zimmerman), Kelly (Linda) Hersh, Eric (Shelly) Hersh, Julie Giesken, and Leslea Curry. His forever friends, Danny Lewis, Andy (Rachael) Schreck, Joel Knott, Lizz Sok, and Mark Badberg, will forever cherish his memory.

Trevor was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Robin Burns; grandmother, Carol Jeanette Hersh; uncle, Kurby Burns; and great-grandfather, Clifford Herndon.

A funeral service to honor Trevor's life will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Parnell, MO. Honorary pallbearers will include Tim Giesken, Danny Lewis, Andy Schreck, Rachael Schreck, Joel Knott, Lizz Sok, and Mark Badberg.

Arrangements are being handled by Bram Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. Trevor's family and friends will forever remember his adventurous spirit, artistic talents, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
