Steven Lawerence Cronin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Lawrence Cronin, who left this world on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 61. Steven was a beloved resident of Houston, Texas, but his journey began in Hastings, Nebraska, where he was born on February 5, 1964.

Steven was a man of warmth and compassion, known for his unwavering love for animals, especially dogs. He was a devoted "dog dad," always ready to open his heart and home to a stray in need. His kindness and generosity extended beyond his love for animals, touching the lives of all who knew him.

Steven is survived by his loving husband, Carlos Zepeda, who shared life together in their Houston home. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Cronin, and sister-in-law, Joyce, of Maryville, Missouri. His cousins, Suzanne Byler, Sherril Kilpatrick, and Marche Cepure, along with his nephews, Kael (Ashley) Martin and Jarret (Alix) Cronin, will forever cherish his memory. Steven was also a proud uncle to five great-nieces and nephews, who brought immense joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. Cronin and Alyce Jane Cronin, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

Steven's life will be celebrated with a service organized by Bram Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Jarret Cronin, Kael Martin, Zac Cepure, Paul Cepure, George Kilpatrick, and Mark Weishahn, who will honor Steven's memory with their presence.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to local animal shelters in Steven's name, continuing his legacy of compassion and care for those without a voice.

Steven Lawrence Cronin will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless animals he loved so dearly.

The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, Maryville, Missouri.
