Steven Richard Beason, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 8th, 1948, in Quitman, Missouri, Steve was a resident of Maryville, MO, where he spent the majority of his life.

Steve was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving wife, Lynn Beason. He was a proud father to his sons, Lonny (Georgia) Mackey of Maryville, MO, Jay (Barb) Mackey of Maryville, MO, Cody (Soleiana Abernathy) Beason of Lander, WY, and Travis Beason of Lander, WY, and his daughters, Brandi (Chester) Schamber of Riverton, WY, Joni Beason of New Market, IA, Toni (John) Wilson of Maryville, MO, and Necama (Cody) Parman of Barnard, MO.

Steve is also survived by his brother, David Beason of Hopkins, MO, and sisters, Carol (Mike) Farrens of Maryville, MO, and Barb Hoepker of New Market, IA. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren: Christopher, Brett, Brayden, Callie, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Shawn, Skylee, Taylor, Faith, Maddie, Lila, Hart, Ruby, Blair, Sadie, Kynleigh, and his 3 great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Maxine, and Baylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Roy Beason and Lois Lucile Beason.

Steve was a graduate of high school and furthered his education at Stevens Electrical College, completing a one-year program. He was a dedicated farmer, working for himself in Maryville, MO, and spent a decade with Uniroyal. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was known for his ability to fix anything, whether it was his tractor, trucks, or a woodworking project.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He found joy in mowing yards and was a skilled pool shooter. His mornings were often spent enjoying coffee at Gray's, where he shared stories and laughter with friends. Above all, Steve cherished his family, finding immense joy in the company of his children and grandchildren.

The family will greet friends at an open visitation from 12:30 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025, until 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Maryville, Missouri. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church. There will be a private family burial afterwards at the Wilcox Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Nodaway County Senior Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
