Patricia Ellen Shadinger, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Friday, May 8th, 2026, in Maryville, Missouri. Born on June 1st, 1947, in Elkhart, Indiana, Patricia lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
Patricia was a graduate of Elkhart High School, Class of 1965, and pursued further education for a year in college. Her career was marked by her dedication and meticulous nature, having worked as a computer programmer at Miles Laboratories, in accounting at Lithotone Printing and later at The Hallmark store in Maryville. Her colleagues appreciated her professionalism and friendly demeanor.
On June 26, 2004, Patricia married David Shadinger in Elkhart, Indiana. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Patricia was a devoted member of the Graham United Methodist Church, where she found joy and community. Patricia was also an avid reader, and she enjoyed walking her dog and spending time with her friends and family.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, David Shadinger; her brother, John Kime, and sister-in-law, DeAnn Kime of Elkhart, Indiana; a daughter, Mae Parker, and son-in-law, Nino Parker. She was a proud grandmother to Matthew Vigren, Malia Parker, Vivian Parker, and Nino Parker Jr., and a cherished aunt to her nephews, Bradley and Stephen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmer John Kime and Ruth Ellen Kime, her son, Michael Vigren, and her grandson, Montayne "Tanner" Vigren.
Patricia's life will be celebrated with a visitation at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, Missouri, on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in a cemetery in Indiana at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Patricia's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
