Marvin L. Wallace, 72, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away January 11, 2026. Born in Maryville, MO, to Ralph and Benita Wallace, Marvin was a 1971 graduate of Maryville High School.
A proud veteran, Marvin dedicated a combined 23 years of service to his country through the U.S. Army and as a full-time member of the Army National Guard, 129th Field Artillery Division in Maryville. During his years in Maryville, he was also an active member of the Maryville Jaycees. After retiring from the military in 1994, he and his wife, Bev, moved to Lee’s Summit. Ever a believer in a good challenge, Marvin earned his Business Administration degree from Columbia College in 1996. He went on to a dedicated career as a Facility Manager for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), retiring in 2016.
Marvin was a man who truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. A talented craftsman, he spent hours in his garage woodworking or tackling home projects. He was perhaps most at home on the lake, whether he was piloting his pontoon boat to tie up with friends for the day or quietly trying his luck with his latest fishing lure. Marvin will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his helpful spirit, and a mischievous sense of humor that was always ready with a well-timed "dad joke."
He is survived by his wife, Bev Wallace; children, Craig (Michelle) Wallace and Kim Wallace (Steve Gonzales); and grandchildren, Adam (Alexis) Wallace and Avery Wallace. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Young, Kathy (Kate) Burns, Terry (Jamie) Hardin, Ralph (Machelle) Wallace, and Rex (Tracey) Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Benita Wallace; his sister, Marjorie (Micky) Rolofson; and his father-in-law, Willard Coffelt.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are being handled by Bram Funeral Home.
