Marvin D. Florea, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, in Maryville, Missouri. Born on September 16th, 1942, in Gaynor, Missouri, Marvin lived a life of love, laughter, and dedication to his family.

Marvin was a graduate of North Nodaway High School, class of 1961. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, a testament to his commitment and patriotism. After his military service, Marvin dedicated 10 years of his life working at Walker Body Shop, and he also spent 25 years working at Energizer, retiring in 2004.

Marvin was a man of many passions. He enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle, the thrill of hunting, and the joy of spending time with his family. An Honorary member of the Mic-O-Say Tribe, Marvin always enjoyed a good joke and cherished visiting with people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruth Florea, of the home; his loving sons, Denny (Sabrina) Florea and Ernie (Dorry) Florea, both of Maryville, MO; and his cherished grandchildren, Brandi (Noah) Bonde, Steven (Christine) Florea, Lane (Kim) Florea, and Lonia Bowen. Marvin was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Haven (Mia) Bonde, Eli (Wy) Florea, Caydon Gudde, Kayleigh Umphreys, Brianna Umphreys, and Christian Umphreys, who brought immense joy to his life.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Florea and Pauline E. Florea; his sisters, Beverly Geisken and infant sister Betty Jo Florea; and his niece, Staci McEnaney.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville, MO, on Monday, September 21st, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Marvin's life will be held at the same church on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long Branch Cemetery at Gaynor, MO, or the First Baptist Church of Hopkins, MO. Arrangements are under the care of Bram Funeral Home. Marvin's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
