Marvin Lee Chubick, 76, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. 

Marvin was born in Maryville on April 16, 1949, to Alfred Mervin Chubick and Joyce Helen Graham. He was a lifelong resident of the area.  

He served his country in the US Air Force.  He worked for 36 years at Laclede Chain Manufacturing of Maryville, as the plant furnace room operator. He enjoyed attending KC Royals baseball games, hunting and fishing, and playing Bingo. 

On December 6, 1973, at the Assembly of God Church in Maryville, Marvin was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Seipel. They were married for 51 years before she passed away on February 20, 2025. He was also preceded by his son, Chad A. Chubick, in 2017, also his parents, Alfred Chubick and Joyce Wallace, his step father, Barney Wallace, and his brother in law, Howard Shimak.

Marvin leaves behind his children, Scott (Teri) Chubick, Chillicothe, Missouri, Lani (Jeff) Derks, Maryville, and Ashley (Andrew Aguiar), all of Maryville, his 2 sisters, Janelle Shimak, Graham, Missouri, and Gwen Barrock, Maryville, 8 grandchildren, Colton (Maranda), and Connor Chubick, Nathan and Steven Derks, Christina (Remington) Long, Avalyn, Alyvia, and Abram Aquiar. 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Marvin has been cremated and his memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. No formal visitation is planned.
