Martha Jane Brown, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 10th, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on January 24th, 1951, in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Martha was the daughter of the late Emerson Davis Allen and Thelma Grace Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Brown, with whom she shared many wonderful years.
Martha is survived by her siblings, brother Joe Elmer (Gloria) Allen of Springfield, MO, and sister Annie May (Jerry) Brekke of Maryville, MO. She was a proud and caring aunt to her nephew, Darren Allen of Springfield, MO, and her nieces, Kathy Hodge of Springfield, MO, and Karen Hodge of Kirksville, MO.
A graduate of the University of Missouri, Martha earned a Bachelor of Science degree, which she utilized throughout her career as a Recreation Director for the City of Springfield, MO. Her dedication to her work and her community was evident in her many years of service.
Martha had a passion for antiques and enjoyed collecting and selling dolls. Her love for animals was well-known, and she was a devoted caretaker to her parents in their later years, demonstrating her deep commitment to family.
Martha's life will be celebrated and remembered by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home. Martha has been cremated and per her wishes, there are no services.
May Martha Jane Brown rest in peace, forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
