Marian Jean (John) Everhart, 90, of Skidmore, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her home with family at her side.
Marian was born in Peru, Nebraska, on August 19, 1933, to Albert Wendell and Alice Lucile (Strait) John, who preceded her in death.
She had lived in the Skidmore area since 1955, and previously lived in Corning, Iowa. She received her BS in Education from Northwest Missouri State University.
Marian taught elementary school for over 42 years in Skidmore, later the Nodaway-Holt School District.
Her memberships included the United Methodist Church, Skidmore, Skidmore Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Missouri Girls State, Missouri State Teacher Association, Nodaway County Retired Teachers Association, American Legion Auxiliary, Widowed Persons Service, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, Skidmore Community Betterment, DAR, Rosa Ann Hospital Auxiliary, and Tri-City Friendship Center, Maitland, MO.
On April 15, 1956, at the United Methodist in Burlington Junction, Missouri, Marian was united in marriage to William Ezra Everhart, Jr. They were married over 37 years before his passing in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Everhart in 2015, and her brother, Gary John, and her sister, Cathy Harvey.
She leaves behind her daughter, Cynthia of Skidmore, Missouri, and her 5 grandchildren, Ezran Everhart, William D. (Joni) Everhart, Joseph Everhart, Natalie Jackson, and Jena (JJ) Baumli, and 10 great grandchildren, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phyllis and Eldon Everhart, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. The burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Birthday Book Program, or to the school library, to use as the librarian sees fit, at the Nodaway-Holt Elementary School, 409 Hickory Street, Maitland, Missouri 64466.
