Madaline Mae Luckert, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on Thursday, March 1st, 1934, in Creighton, Nebraska.
Madaline was the daughter of the late Edward F. Mattern and Emily Mattern. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Luckert, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising a beautiful family.
Madaline is survived by her devoted children: son Lon (Jill) Luckert of Smithville, MO; daughters Lori Jasperson, Luellen (Tom) Wilson, and Leanna Householder, all of Maryville, MO; Lisa (Greg) Welch of Parnell, MO; and Libby (Corey) Cross of Hopkins, MO. She also leaves behind her brother Joe (Phyllis) Mattern and sister Mary Mathine. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Emily Schmidt, Allyson Luckert, Clinton Jasperson, Dane Jasperson, T.J. Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Sean Householder, Aaron Luckert, Elizabeth Roberts, MaKayla Crater, and Alonna Cross, as well as 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Madaline was preceded in death by her brothers Bill Mattern, Phil Mattern, and Lawrence Mattern, and her sisters Jacqueline Block, Alma Nestlebush, and Lois Johnson.
A graduate of Creighton St. Ludger's, Madaline pursued her passion for helping others. She dedicated her career to serving the community as an EMT and Paramedic with Nodaway County, where she was known for her compassion and dedication.
Madaline was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in canning, gardening, sewing, cooking, and quilting. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
A Rosary will be held at St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish in Maryville, MO, on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm, followed by a visitation from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Maryville, MO.
Memorials may be made to the St. Gregory's General Fund or Three Rivers Hospice of St. Joseph, MO.

Madaline Mae Luckert will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
