Kimberly Dawn Kelmel

Kimberly Dawn Kelmel, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on March 17th, 1967, in Maryville, MO.

A proud graduate of Maryville High School, Kimberly dedicated more than 20 years of her professional life as a Team Lead at Walmart in Maryville, MO. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her family. Known for her tireless work ethic, Kimberly often juggled multiple jobs to ensure her children had everything they needed.

Kimberly's life was a testament to her love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Kyle (Courtney) Kelmel of Maryville, MO, Blake (Kara) Downing of Huntsville, AL, and Matt (Briley) Downing of Clear Lake, IA. Her grandchildren, Molli Kelmel, Wyatt Kelmel, Ilizabeth Downing, Alivia Downing, and Nash Downing, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Kimberly is survived by her loving mother, Donna Key, and her step-mom, Cecelia Kelmel of Maryville, MO. She leaves behind her brothers, Kevin (Angie) Kelmel and Terry Kelmel, and her sisters, Michelle (Ed Archer) Kelmel, Angie (Ryan) Cummins, and Heather (Jay) Dredge. Kimberly was also a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a cherished friend to many.

Preceded in death by her father, Terrence Kelmel, her step-dad, Tommy Key, and her aunt, Becky Greeley, Kimberly's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Kimberly's passions extended beyond her family. She enjoyed fishing, cooking for others, and was a constant presence at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Known as a second mom to many, her home was always open, and her heart was always full.

A visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Arrangements are provided by Bram Funeral Home.

Kimberly Dawn Kelmel will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering love, strength, and dedication to her family and friends will forever be remembered.
