Justin Edward Long

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Justin Edward Long, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Justin was born on January 20th, 1982, in Osage Beach, Missouri, and passed away on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, at the age of 44.

Justin was a graduate of Nodaway Holt High School in Graham, MO, and later became a custodian at Peru College in Peru, NE.

Justin had a profound love for the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing, hunting, and riding his cherished Harley. He was an avid fan of Chiefs football and enjoyed watching his children play sports. His passion for fishing led him to participate in numerous fishing tournaments, where he made many cherished memories.

Family was at the center of Justin's life. He is survived by his loving father, James Long of Liberty, MO, and his devoted mother, Rosemary Roberts of Ravenwood, MO. He leaves behind his cherished girlfriend, Jessica Shefferd of Nebraska City, NE, and his beloved children: son Jesse Long of Skidmore, MO, and daughters Kirsten Morrow of Ravenwood, MO, and Riley Long of Skidmore, MO. Justin was a proud grandfather to Daisy Parkhurst and Westen Strahl, who brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Michael Wallace of Maryville, MO, and his sister, Carrie Long of Ravenwood, MO. Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob Long and Amelia Alexander, and grandparents, Edward and Elaine Wallace, whose memories he held dear.

Justin's love for storytelling and vacationing with family created lasting memories for all who knew him. His warmth, humor, and dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Justin's life will be held at Mozingo Lake Youth Camp in Maryville, MO, on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of Justin.

Justin Edward Long will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
