James "Jim" Logan Linville, Known to many as Cope, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 5th, 1943, in Maryville, Missouri, James was a cherished resident of Graham, MO, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends.

Jim was the devoted husband of Mary Ann Linville, who survives of the home.. Together, they built a loving family, including their son, James Bradley Linville, and his wife Cindy of Maitland, MO, and their daughter, Shannon Heitman, and her husband Rex of Maryville, MO. Jim was a proud grandfather to Connor Heitman (Chelsea), Shelby Roach (Liam), Brady Heitman, and Sarah Linville, and a doting great-grandfather to Ellie Heitman and Lucas Roach. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Isaac Linville and Ruby Linville, as well as his parents-in-law, Ermal and Goldie Sportsman. He is also reunited with his brothers-in-law, Junior, Raymond, and Kenneth Sportsman, Ronnie Morin, Francis Darby, and sisters-in-law, Joann, Edith, and Marilyn Sportsman, Dorothy Darby Morin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Barnard High School, Jim spent his career as a dedicated trucker, working with companies such as Newton Bros, Koch, LMP/ Nucor, Corbott Trucking and Derrel Snow. After retiring, he continued to work with KAM Farms, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and the work.

Jim had a passion for life and enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing cards and Yahtzee with friends and family. He was an avid football fan, cheering on the Bearcats and the Chiefs with enthusiasm. His love for visiting friends and sharing stories was well-known, and he will be remembered for his warm heart and generous spirit.

Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Friday, August 7th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A memorial service to celebrate James's life will take place at the Graham United Methodist Church in Graham, MO., Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at 10:00 am. Inurnment will take place after the service at Prairie Home Cemetery in Graham, MO. Arrangements are being handled by Bram Funeral Home.

Cope's legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and community.
