James Scott Valentine, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on January 4th, 1953, in Pomona, California, Scott spent his later years residing in Rock Port, Missouri.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, James C. Valentine, and his mother, Evelyn Valentine Jackson. He is survived by his devoted brother, David (Linda) Lee Valentine, and his loving sister, Lorrie Schatz. Scott was a proud uncle to his nephews, Bryan Valentine, Christopher Valentine, Michael Schatz, and Jamie Schatz, who will all miss him dearly.

Scott dedicated 18 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a truck driver, a profession he held for another 18 years. His love for the open road was matched only by his passion for learning about the world around him.

An avid reader, Scott had a keen interest in weather phenomena, natural disasters, and the mysteries of outer space. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan, finding joy in the thrill of the race and the skill of the drivers.

Scott's life will be celebrated and remembered by those who knew him for his kindness, curiosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and interests. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
