Irmalee Marie Schieber, 98, of Maryville, Missouri passed from this life on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her home.
Irmalee was born in Clarksdale, Missouri, on September 3, 1925, to Oscar Rudolph and Emma Regina (Fisher) Buhman.
On February 12, 1946, Irmalee was united in marriage to Alfred Leo Schieber, at the Seven Dolars Catholic Church, in Hurlingen, MO. Alfred passed away in 1996. Irmalee and Alfred enjoyed 50 years of marriage.
Irmalee was also preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Ronald Louis “Ron” Schieber in 1979, and 10 of her siblings.
She was a member and attended St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church in Maryville and was a faithful church volunteer. She also volunteered at the former St. Francis Hospital, now Mosaic, in Maryville. She also had a great passion for bowling, The KC Royals, and the Northwest Bearcats.
Irmalee was a generous lifetime caregiver for her son, Dan, and helped with many Special Olympic events. She also was devoted to her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children, Eugene (Edna) Schieber, Kansas City, Missouri, Thomas (Marcia) Schieber, Guilford, Missouri, Linda (Steven) Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri, Frank (Jeanette) Schieber, Stanberry, Missouri, and Dan Schieber, of the home, 2 brothers, Bud Buhman, St. Joseph, Missouri, Jim (Carol) Buhman, Gardnerville, Nevada, 12 grandchildren, Chad Schieber, April Crosser, Craig Schieber, Ryan Schieber, Eric Schieber, Angela Ralph, Jenny Wiederholt, Cynthia Wiederholt, Karen Purpura, Alan Schieber, Gina Stoll, and Kelli Holstine, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irmalee and the family were blessed with fantastic caregivers at the end of her journey and the family are grateful for them.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri. The burial will follow in the St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri.
Parish and family rosary will be at 5:00 PM, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the St. Columba, Conception, Missouri, the visitation will follow until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics of Nodaway County, or Three Rivers Hospice St. Joseph.
