Irma Lee Wilson, 97, crossed over May 29, 2025, at Oak Pointe of Maryville. She was born October 19, 1927, to James A. and Clevia (Ecker) Hull, at the home of her maternal grandparents, W. C. and Minnie Ecker. Her childhood was spent in Elmo. During WW II the family moved to Vancouver, WA. she graduated from Washougal (WA) High School in 1945.
On August 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to Montgomery L. Wilson at the Elmo Methodist Church. They lived in Columbia for three years while Monty studied for his JD degree at MU School of Law. while there she taught at Stephen’s College. Then moved back to Maryville and made their home.
Irma Lee and Monty enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad and spending their winters in Mesa, AZ. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, sewing, knitting, making dolls and teddy bears and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, brother and parents.
Her memory and legacy will be carried on by a daughter and son-in-law; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be at Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, MO, on June 8th from 5 to 7 pm., and a Celebration of Life service will be held on June 9th at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church, Maryville, MO. Burial will be at Miriam Cemetery, also of Maryville.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Maryville; Northwest Foundation or Three Oaks Hospice.
