Herman Victor Wiederholt

Herman V. Wiederholt, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on October 6th, 1940, in Maryville, Missouri, Herman was a resident of Conception Junction, MO, where he spent the majority of his life.

Herman was raised by his aunt and uncle, Katherine and Clem King, who lovingly took him in as a baby after the passing of his mother. He graduated from Northeast Nodaway High School, where he began to cultivate his passion for mechanics, a passion, that would define his career and reputation. Known throughout the area as a gifted mechanic, Herman worked with dedication at Lawson's International, John Deere, and Redi Mix Stanberry. His expertise and love for Farmall, and International Tractors were well-known, and he was a lifelong member of the NRA, sharing a deep appreciation for motorcycles, tractors, and guns.

Herman proudly served in the United States army, and was a member of the Tri-C American Legion for over 60 years. He was a man of many interests, but above all, he loved his family, farm, and his dogs. His children were the pride of his life and he occasionally enjoyed any time spent with them.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, William George and Henrietta A. (Lager) Wiederholt, Katherine and Clem King, his beloved wife Susan J. Wiederholt, whom he married on November 12th, 1966, and with whom he shared 18 wonderful years and seven children. He was also preceded by his brothers Ed King, George, Paul, and Francis Wiederholt, sisters Eleanor Randall, Alice Rauer, Cecilia Armstrong, Clara Schieber, and his longtime companion, Christina Dodge.

He is survived by his loving children: Clement (Rhonda) Wiederholt of Maryville, MO, James (Alice) Wiederholt of Barnard, MO, Kim (Jeff) Bram of Maryville, MO, Stephanie (Todd) Wilson of Maryville, MO, Jeffery (Tinelle) Wiederholt of Myrtle Beach, SC, Staci (Bryce Bedford) Drydale of Watertown, WI, and Clinton (Andi Ramsey) Wiederholt of St. Joseph, MO. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Helen Gribble of Gower, MO, and a legacy of 15 grandchildren: Lacey, Connor, Kennedy Wiederholt, Kelbey Weber, Marissa, Miya, Sierra Wiederholt, Adrian, Jessica, and Jackson Bram, Halle Wilson, Kasper Hood, Chloe Wiederholt, Tylan and Keian Drydale, and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Stanberry, MO, on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Herman's life was a testament to hard work, love, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Arrangements are provided by Bram Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Tri-C American Legion Post 464.
