George Scott Garten, 81, of Maryville, MO passed away December 19, 2023, at Nodaway Healthcare, Maryville.
Mr. Garten was born August 8, 1942, in Anoka, Minnesota. His parents were Lance Mead Garten and Laura Agnes (Reid) Garten.
Mr. Garten was an educator. He had taught mathematics at Northwest Missouri State University.
He was married to Helen Louise Johnstone-Garten. She passed away in February of 2023.
His survivors include two brothers: Lance and Paul Garten both of Lee’s Summit, MO.
George Scott Garten has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home.
