Eldon Lee Everhart

Eldon Lee Everhart, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on August 13th, 1936, in Conception Junction, Missouri.

Eldon was the son of the late William Ezra Everhart and Mary Iva Everhart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Anna Mae Banks, Irene Nelson, and Ermil Vance, and his brothers William Everhart Jr., Robert Everhart, Jesse Everhart, and Joseph Joe Everhart.

A proud graduate of Quitman High School's Class of 1955, Eldon furthered his education at Northwest Missouri State Teachers College (NWMSTC). He dedicated 41 years of his life to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) as a maintenance worker, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Eldon served his country honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his commitment and service to others. He was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star (O.E.S.), where he once held the esteemed position of Worshipful Master.

Eldon is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Everhart, of the home; his loving daughter, Connie (David) Grebert of Clarinda, IA; and his sons, Donald Everhart of Burlington Junction, MO, and Eldon "Duane" Everhart of St. Joseph, MO. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Morrison of Clarinda, IA. Eldon was a proud grandfather to multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the same chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville, MO. Arrangements are being handled by Bram Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.

Eldon Lee Everhart will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His legacy of love, service, and commitment will continue to inspire all who knew him.
