Donna Mae Yanks, 87, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Donna Mae (Scheel) Yanks was born January 7, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Gilbert Scheel and Beatrice Marcucci.
She married Michael Richard Yanks on November 26, 1970. Along with her husband Michael, she co-owned and operated Taco Del Sol in Maryville. She also worked for Great Plains Security at Kawasaki. Later she worked at Northwest Missouri State University until she finally retired at age 80.
Her hobbies include bowling and making crafts. She was an animal lover, and leaves behind her cat Missy, and her grand fur children, and her dogs, Trouble, Honey, and Blue.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Richard Yanks, her sister, Karen Mowery, 3 children, Raymond Tarr, Steven Tarr, and Shari Tarr, and her grandson, Cody Michael Yanks.
Donna’s survivors include her sons, Michael Richard Yanks, Jr, and wife Brenda, of Maryville, Missouri, and William Tarr, of Las Vegas, Nevada, her brother-in-law, Allen Mowery of Nebraska. Several grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Donna has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life for Donna will be at a later date.
