Carole Ann (Woldruff) Spalding passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. Carole was born July 7, 1942, in Hopkins, MO to Clarence “Glen” and Edna Mae (Morehouse) Woldruff.
She graduated Hopkins High School in 1960. On September 3, 1961, she was united in marriage to William (Bill) E. Spalding in Hopkins.
She was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was known as an outstanding seamstress, quilter, card player and friend. Carole worked at Nodaway County Abstract for several years. She was a member of Chapter K PEO, and the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Ben McIntyre.
She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Jon (Denise) Spalding, Marsha (Curtis) Martin, Joel Spalding, 6 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and 6 great great grandkids. She is also survived by her sisters Virginia Gill, Norma Robison, sister-in-law Pat Swaney, brother-in-law Jerry Spalding and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, Hopkins, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Her memory will be cherished forever by those who’s lives she touched. Memorials can be given to Ben’s Stockings of Hope.
