On December 22, 1937, Bill was the first of four sons born to William Earl Mozingo and Thelma Pauline (Henry). He began his life growing up on a small farm in Arkoe, MO. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1955 and began working for Saint Joseph Light and Power in the gas division in 1956. In 1957 he married Patricia (Pat) Jaquith at First Baptist Church in Maryville, MO.

From 1958 to 1972, Bill and Pat lived in Tarkio, MO, where Bill continued to work for St. Joseph Light & Power Company but now in the electrical division. In 1972, Bill and his family moved to Maryville, MO. As a Line Foreman for the electrical company, Bill was always diligent, faithful, and competent in his work, even in extreme weather and hazardous conditions. After 45 years of climbing 35 foot poles, repairing transformers, and keeping the power going to the homes and businesses served by St. Joseph Light & Power, Bill retired in 2001. After his retirement, not one to be idle, Bill became a CDL certified bus driver for the Maryville School system. With care and skill, he transported students to school and to athletic events for ten years.

Bill was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon and on various committees. Under Bill’s guidance on the Property Committee, the safe condition and care of the building and property were in good hands. Bill was also a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Bearcat football and basketball. He enjoyed watching the teams in person and often traveled to see the various championship games of the Bearcat football team.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gary Mozingo and Robert Mozingo. He is survived by his beloved wife Pat; his three children and their spouses, Pam (David) May of Saint Joseph, MO, Mike (Patti) Mozingo, Venice, FL, Ruth (Mike) Dredge of Maryville, MO; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother Jerry (Dixie) Mozingo.
