She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Proffit, and two daughters; Katrina and Cynthia.

She is survived by her sons, James (Denise) Proffit of Oregon, Timothy (Maureen) Proffit of Cottleville, MO, and two grandchildren; Robert and Adam Proffit.

Bessie's body has been cremated, and there are no services planned at this time.
