Amos C. Bontrager, 79, of Burlington Junction, Missouri, deceased at Mosiac Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri, on June 12, 2025.
He was born on February 1, 1946, to the late Christ and Amanda (Miller) Bontrager. He was married to Katie Bontrager on September 24, 1970.
His is survived by 1 daughter, Joanna Bontrager (Ethel), Missouri and 2 sons, Daniel (Dorcas) of Burlington Junction, Missouri, and Mahlon (Miriam) of Ethel, Missouri. 11 grandchildren: Anthony, Amanda, Arlyn, Joshua (Ada), Suzanne (Ivan) Burkholder, David, Reuben, Michael, Andrew, Mervin and Steven. 5 great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Sara Beth, Jonathan, and Ruth. 1 sister, Ella (Elmer) Miller. Sister-in-laws, Ida (Levi) Weaver, Elma (Alvin-deceased) Troyer, and Leanna (Sam) Troyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie, daughter, Ruthann and Suzann, and a stillborn. Grandson Jonathan, parents, sister Anna Bontrager, brother-in-laws Alva, Chris, Daniel and Delbert Bontrager and sister-in-laws Polly and Idasue.
Visitation will be held at the CYC on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and funeral services will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Community Youth Center, 59321 Nottawa Road, Centreville, Michigan.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, support, prayers and acts of kindness throughout this journey with dad.
A special thanks to nephew Lonnie Bontrager, Bill and Patti King and family and his friends at B & G for being there for dad.
